We are closing in on the midterm elections and if Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro wants to see his dream of the Democratic trifecta in Harrisburg come true, his party will have to hold onto its majority in the state House.
Democrats currently hold a 103-100 majority in the House and are hopeful that party enthusiasm and Republican apathy could enable Dems to take their largest advantage in the chamber since 1992 when they held 105 seats.

Voting to lower costs and reduce utility bills for families. Stopping income and sales tax hikes and supporting fiscally responsible budgeting in Harrisburg. Voting for a strong data center moratorium to help stop data center developments and give back local control to our communities. | Priorities | Fair funding for our public schools & lower property taxes for homeowners. Single-payer healthcare for PA and lower insurance & prescription costs. Support First-time Homebuyers Savings Accounts to help young adults and renters prepare and save for future homeownership. |
| The most pressing issues facing families in the 41st District are affordability, property taxes, public safety, education and ensuring state government is responsive to the people it serves. My background as a public school counselor for 26 years in Lancaster County schools and my 9 years as an East Hempfield Township supervisor has taught me to listen carefully and work cooperatively to find solutions. Addressing these issues requires developing policies that lower energy costs, provide property tax relief, right-size the regulatory burden on businesses so they can create family sustaining jobs, streamline government to reduce costs, encourage business growth in PA and provide adequate funding for our educators and first responders. | Most Pressing Issue(s) Facing Your District | Affordability across the board has become a top issue in the 41st. Housing has become increasingly unaffordable, healthcare expenses are putting families into bankruptcy, and a quality education is only available to those in wealthy communities, leaving working-class families behind. That’s why I’m fighting to fund and expand housing programs, support single-payer, universal healthcare, and reduce our over-reliance on property taxes and increase state investment to give every child in Pennsylvania a real shot. Together, we can build a district, a county, and a state where everyone has a roof over their head, access to healthcare, and a quality education—no exceptions. |

| Communities absolutely need the necessary time, information and authority to review major development proposals before they move forward. Data centers are not ordinary projects. They impact electricity demand, water use, noise, and nearby neighborhoods. Yes, the Legislature should enact laws addressing these impacts. | Quotable | Data centers not only can harm local environments and consume water supplies, but they can raise the costs of utilities for everyone around them, putting their costs not on the company but on the residents who have built their homes in the surrounding area. Instead of allowing unproven and potentially harmful technology to build in our neighborhoods, we should be regulating their impact on the areas they are constructed, and having them build the infrastructure needed to support the drain on local utilities. Municipalities need the support only their state legislature can provide to keep costs down and prevent unneeded burdens on their residents. |
